Being Humanly

Being human in human services – apparently it’s radical! Social enterprise Humanly, in Aotearoa New Zealand, discuss the challenges and opportunities that disability support services face as they seek to do the right thing and shift the way they serve persons with disabilities – to ensure the person is always in the driver’s seat and driving their life experience. Created and facilitated by Humanly these inspirational programmes provide opportunities for organisations identifying as a disability support service to explore how they are being of service, and what they need to do to shift their organisation closer towards sustainable person-directed practice. Janelle, Lisa and Logan host this six-episode podcast series as they share the story of their work that has been gaining momentum and gathering followers since October 2020, and that drives their mission to see human beings being human at home, at work, and in the community, and is transforming lives by transforming service.
